Well, Labor Day has passed. That means school is in session, no more wearing white shoes, and in many people’s minds, the summer is over. It also means we are “off and running” with an exciting year ahead for our Jewish community and your Jewish Federation.

On August 18, 1983, as I was entering 9th grade, I went to the Orlando Jewish Community Center and joined AZA (Aleph Zadik Aleph -- the boys component of BBYO). From that date my life took a very important turn.
We are in the final weeks of what continues to be a beautiful summer (my children dislike it when I remind them school starts in less than a month).
