Shaarie Torah has aligned with United Synagogue Youth (USY), which means we now have youth groups! USY was founded in 1951. The mission statement of the organization is:

United Synagogue Youth and Kadima [and pre-Kadima], of the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism, inspires Jewish youth to explore, celebrate and practice ethical values, Jewish living, Zionism and community responsibility based on the ideology of the Conservative Movement.

The USY (High School), Kadima (Middle School) and Pre-Kadima (3rd-5th Grade) groups will engage in age appropriate activities, outings, conversations and connections, including: movie nights, havdallah with elders, ice skating, Sukkah decorating, films and discussions, huckleberry tubing, and much more. These groups are excellent ways to relieve stress and hangout with some really cool people, and they also provide excellent opportunities to explore your leadership skills.

“The beauty of Youth Groups is that at the heart of everything we do together, our main objective is to build kehilla (community) where Jewish kids of all ages can be seen, heard, welcomed, blessed, supported, inspired, celebrated, honored and loved for who they are and what they bring to us.” -Sarah Rohr, Youth Group Advisor
