Eastside Jewish Commons (EJC) and OPB are proud to debut the first of five acclaimed documentaries from PBS’ Independent Lens series, under the moniker of Indie Lens Pop Up.

Indie Lens Pop Up opens with 'A Town Called Victoria', a film by Li Lu.

What it’s about:
When the local mosque is burned to the ground in an apparent hate crime, the town of Victoria, Texas must overcome its age-old political, racial, and economic divides to find a collective way forward. 'A Town Called Victoria' is a Reel South and Independent Lens co-production.

Following the screening there will be a community discussion with Rabbi Ariel Stone of Congregation Shir Tikvah, community organizer Seemab Hussaini and Rabbi Benjamin Barnett of Havurah Shalom.

Admission is free. Tickets are available at https://events.humanitix.com/a-town-called-victoria
